This is the first work I did by using blacklight and invisible ink. The audience flips through the book and can see the animated forms exposed to black light. The narrative was inspired by Carl Jung’s theories about archetypes and their psychological relations with mental health. For gallery presentation, there is a blacklight lamp included with the flipbook.

Animals are used to represent symbols for shadow and similar unknown parts of unconscious minds. The idea is based on their appearance in dreams and their symbolic meanings that could be connected to archetypes and ancient mythology.
